Addili for design is offering full scholarship on the following courses:

• Image consultancy- 3sessions
• How to use a sewing machine- 2 sessions
• Business planning - 3 sessions

Free training for handicapped people

Applicants must have a physical disability. Addili for design reserves the right to admission.

Courses:

• Cushion making (applicant should have knowledge on how to use a sewing machine)-3 sessions
• Curtain making (applicant should have knowledge on how to use a sewing machine)-3 sessions
• Business planning (all)- 3 sessions

Registration procedure:

• Collect an application form at Addili for design and fill it out.
• Pay a registratin fee of Ksh. 1,500
• Attend classes

Registration deadline 26th March 2012

You can select any of the following dates for classes:

• 7th, 14th, 21st April
• 3rd, 10th, 17th April
• 5th, 12th, 19th April

Volunteer models required!

Addili for design is looking for volunteer models for a photo shoot on wednesday 22nd Dec 2010.
The models required ( men and women)are:

• Slim
• Medium
• Plus size

We will only pick I model in each category for men and women.
The agreement

1. The model will fully volunteer for the Addili project for three months.
2. The model will be required to avail themselves at the photo shoots upon request by Addili for design
3. The models can use the projects for their resumes.
4. The models will commit themselves fully to the project by Addili for design.
5. The models will contribute to the project as required by Addili for design.

Requirements:
Ladies

• A fitting pair of blue or white jeans trousers,
• A belt or belts
• Heels and sandals
• Well done hair
• Make up kit if you have one
• Jewellery (if you have)
• Shades (if you have)

Men

• Black pants and blue jeans
• A belt
• Sandals and black shoes
• Well cut hair

Fashion design intern required!

Addili for design is looking for a readily available fashion design intern.This position could lead to employment.


Duties and responsibilities

• Draft patterns, cut and construct garments.
• Interact with clients.
• Train in fashion courses.
• Source for materials.
• Create proposals and present them.
• Any other job as required by the employer.

Person requirements

• Have a diploma or degree in Fashion design or a related course.
• Have great pattern making skills.
• Be creative and innovative.
• Be pro-active and ambitious.
• Be honest and accountable.

Hand crafted card design trainer wanted!

Addili is looking for a part-time handcrafted card deign trainer who is readily available, passionate and committed.
Duties and responsibilities

• Train in card design
• Design and make cards for clients.
• Do presentations and participate in Addili's projects.
• Any other job as required.

Person requirements

• Have handcrafted designing experience and know new and various techniques.
• Creative and innovative.
• Self driven and ambitious.
• Eloquent.
• Be honest, transparent and accountable
• Be able to work under deadlines and meet targets.
• Be flexible and adaptable.

Addili for design open day on 4th September 2010. Welcome!

Addili for design invites your to our open day.We will be conducting registration for September intake for the 3 month courses and the 5 hour Saturday classes, showcasing our designs including fabulous clutch bags that are on offer, our students designs and other designers' work, offering fashion consultation and taking orders for clothes and bags.

ATTENTION BRIDES TO BE!

Hi,
Hope he is the man of your dreams and the proposal exceeded your wildest dreams. Now the preparation craze has begun. You are running around like crazy and a headless chicken aint got nothing on you. You are hung up on every single detail and you cant seem to find the perfect things as you had envisioned. You are probably crashing every wedding you hear about to try and steal some ideas.Well I wish I had a magic wand to make everything just right for you but all I have is a few suggestions with regard to your day's fashion.

As a bride you want to look your best especially because this will only happen once..........for some of us. Do not try and look like all the other brides you have seen. Try out something different. Go big with your wedding gown. Have one custom made or choose a unique design unlike the ones you have seen before. Here are some ideas of what you could try and look for..........

Now that you have something in mind for you there that other issue of your brides maids. Of course they should not look even nearly as fabulous at you but keeping mind you will have photos of that day for a very long time. So give them  a little permission to look a little fancy-eh!
